Missy is a cute Lhasa Apso mix She is a sweet gal who is housebroken and who has very good indoor manners. She is about 10 or 11 years old, and weighs 20 pounds (but should lose a few pounds). She was surrendered to the pound when her elderly owner moved to a nursing home. We couldn't stand to see such a loving dog put to sleep after years of devoted friendship, and so we rescued her. She is now looking for a loving home. Missy was just checked by the vet, who says that she is basically in good shape. She has crooked front teeth in front, so her tongue hangs out a lot of the time, but her teeth are sound. Her only real problem is that she has dry eyes that require prescription drops once a day. The drops cost about $20 for a two-month supply.Missy is loving and affectionate, and has a cheerful, sweet disposition. However, she doesn't like to have her food taken away, and also doesn't like to be touched on her behind. Therefore, she would do better in a home without small children. Missy gets along well with other dogs, and is okay with cats (she occasionally tries to herd the cats, but has never been aggressive towards any of the other animals in her foster home). She likes to play outside, but really loves to be where her people are. She doesn't require much exercise. She would make a great friend for someone who wants a dog who will keep them company while they do household chores, watch TV, read the paper, run errands in the car, etc.Missy's adoption fee is $125 and includes her spay and vaccinations (parvo/distemper and rabies), as well as her remaining supply of eye drops and her remaining senior dog food.If you would like to meet Missy, please email us at scfourpaws@hotmail.com, or leave a message at 435-752-3534.
